I met Jackie Subeck, Co-Chairperson of the Los Angeles Women Grow events about 18 months ago. Jackie is a powerhouse of Cannabis information, for both social and medicinal values. She has also been proactive in sharing what she learns from a political and regulatory stand point with others in the industry trying to navigate through some confusing times. She is a trusted and valued business associate and has been generous in connecting businesses that need each others services and to connect people just starting out with the right person to help their needs.
Having worked directly with Jackie for the past two years as chapter leadership for Women Grow Los Angeles, I can only say that I was lucky to enough to have been brought together with her as an amazing and resilient partner. We worked hard and we worked tirelessly, but together, we built an incredible business and educational event that we are extremely proud of and helped make a positive impact in our LA corner of the cannabis industry.
I have known and worked side by side with Jackie Subeck in her fight to educate and advocate for cannabis for quite some time now. She is one of the most driven women I have seen in this fight, and I have been honored to walk alongside her. Her determination to end cannabis prohibition has helped to lead to the passing of Prop 64 that gives California full legalization, and our state and our country are lucky to have her!
Jackie is a powerhouse blend of effusive personality, relentless and effortless networker, dedicated crusader for sensible and responsible cannabis regulation and reform, and a righteous servant who tirelessly fights for her colleagues, clients, and those who have no voice.
Jackie Subeck is the Energizer Bunny of the world of cannabis activism and the emerging industry. Her love for business and social justice empowers others to understand not just the complexity of the industry, but to also realize why you cannot separate advocacy from it.
Jackie Subeck is one of the hardest working people I’ve met in the Cannabis Industry, and I owe many of my early achievements due to the guidance from this woman. She made great connections for us which led to the early success of our business. What makes Jackie special is her generosity and willingness to help others. Whenever I faced an obstacle within my business, Jackie would be the first one to find somebody who could help us overcome our challenges. It’s a rarity to find somebody who sees paying it forward as a pursuit and exemplifies selfless service the way Jackie does.
